Reshift has emerged out of the shared belief that strong and competitive businesses are the backbone of Africa’s future prosperity. With extensive experience in market research, brand development, consulting and tech across various African countries between the partners, we bring the knowledge and tools required to help companies understand their playing fields, define their position and unlock sustainable growth opportunities.
Since the inception of Reshift Africa in Rwanda two years ago, we have been working on projects from Kenya to South Africa, and from Senegal to Malawi, and we have continuously refined our systems and offering, leading to a strategic expansion into Botswana and it’s promising markets in early 2026, while remaining a presence in Rwanda and East Africa at large.

Head of Southern Africa
Gian has a background in innovation and brand management and has worked with startups and businesses across Europe and Africa over the past decade. Originating from Switzerland, and having lived and worked in countries like Senegal, Rwanda and Kenya, he has gained a thorough understanding of diverse business environments and built a vast network across the continent. With over ten years of experience in consulting and brand development, he now resides in Gaborone, Botswana and leads the Southern African region for Reshift and its adjacent businesses.
Martin Ndungu
Founding Partner
Head of East Africa
As an experienced business development and market research professional with a background in software engineering, Martin has spent several years living and working in countries across East Africa, helping organizations scale and expand their operations into markets like Ethiopia, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, and his native Kenya. Throughout this time, he has gained unique insights into market dynamics and knows the region like the back of his hand, where he now leads Reshift’s work in East Africa out of our base in Kigali, Rwanda.
